Worked in network engineering for 9 years, finally obtained the CCIE Security certificate!
I am a network engineer who has been working in the field of network engineering for nine years. After so many years of struggling in the industry, I have always wanted to obtain the CCIE SECURITY certification to give myself an account. I transferred from another institution, and the original institution had no one to guide or explain. It was only after passing the WOLF-LAB that I obtained this certificate, which can also be said to be worth the lab exam fee, gained some lessons, and increased my experience.
The time I spent studying at WOLF-LAB was really different. The teachers here are particularly serious and responsible, and they also have a lot of patience. They explain the knowledge points in detail and thoroughly, and no matter how basic or tricky the questions are, they will break them down step by step until we fully understand. We can ask questions at any time during the study, and they will never be evasive. This solid teaching atmosphere makes me feel much more at ease when preparing for the exam.
During the preparation for the CCIE exam, the racks at WOLF-LAB were also very convenient. The rack reservation interface was clear, the operation was simple, and the response speed was fast, rarely encountering any lag or failure to reserve, which allowed me to focus all my energy on practicing, greatly improving my efficiency. What surprised me the most was that there were also racks for the design part, which was really impressive. It was much better than just memorizing questions.
In the days leading up to the exam, the teachers arranged detailed step-by-step explanations. They compiled a detailed document, which included detailed explanations of knowledge points, reminders of common mistakes, and guidance on answering questions. This was all explained in great detail, helping us to gradually find the right direction and maintain a stable mindset. With such professional teachers guiding us, I felt much more at ease.
The actual exam was on Design Version 3 and DO1. When I first got to the design part, I was completely confused. I was used to memorizing keywords in my daily practice and had not memorized whole sentences, so I was unsure of several questions, and my mindset collapsed instantly, I even doubted whether I would fail. But then I thought, after all the effort I had put in, I had to bite the bullet and finish it.
After stabilizing my emotions, I started to do DO1, and the phenomena were all normal. During the process, I discovered two key errors:
Firstly, sales.cisco.com was not accessible, and the problem was with the NAT on ASA1 and ASA2, which I initially wrote as nat(d,i), but it should have been nat(d,o);
Secondly, R1 could not be accessed, and I wrote permit 150.1.7.0 255.255.255.0 in the ACL, but it should have been the reverse mask permit 150.1.7.0 0.0.0.255.
After making the corrections, I finished the entire set of questions smoothly, with 53 minutes left. I then read through the questions again, carefully checked my configuration, and confirmed that there were no problems before submitting the paper 10 minutes early and leaving the exam hall at around 3:00 am.
However, when I left the exam hall, I was still in a state of collapse, completely at a loss for the design part, and I was restless all day. It was not until 21:41 at night that the results came out, and when I saw the word PASS, I felt a sudden release, and the heart that had been hanging for a long time finally landed.
Successfully passing the CCIE SEC is inseparable from the careful guidance and patient company of all the teachers at Wolf. This gratitude is truly etched in my heart.
Obtaining the SEC is not the end, the road ahead is still long. The next target is CCIE DC, let's continue to strive!
Finally, I also encourage all my fellow network engineers:
Life is in diligence, without seeking, how can one obtain?
May we all go further on the path of technology and achieve our wishes.
