WOLF-LAB helped me complete the last piece of the puzzle for the advanced network engineer! Passed the CCIE!

I have been doing enterprise network projects for about 8 years, and have been exposed to switching and routing. In theory, people with project experience should find preparing for advanced certifications easier, but when I really started preparing for exams like the CCIE, I found that there is still a gap between project experience and certification ability. Many problems in projects can be solved slowly with the help of the team, vendor documents, and experience, but the CCIE exam requires typing the standard configuration according to the requirements of the questions within the specified time, and every step must be error-free, which is what Teacher Yang said was the standard configuration.

I chose WOLF-LAB because my former and current colleagues, as well as some customers I met in my work, have taken the CCIE exam at WOLF-LAB. I am not completely a beginner, nor do I just want a set of materials; what I need is someone to help me re-systematize my existing experience and transform my engineering experience into exam ability. WOLF-LAB has always had a good reputation in the industry, and many people say it is the "Yellow Crane Military Academy" of network engineer training and certification. So I joined WOLF-LAB.

After the start of learning, I quickly felt the professionalism of the teachers. The teachers do not stop at the command level, but summarize by combining commands and phenomena during the teaching process, whether it is Mr. Zhao at the CCNP stage or Mr. Jin at the CCIE stage. At the CCNP stage, the teacher would organize some comprehensive experiments, such as why this strategy should be implemented here, why this routing selection will affect subsequent routing, and why the same phenomenon may correspond to different fault points. Many of the content I have seen in projects before, but have not been systematically summarized. After the teacher's organization, I found that some of the vague experiences I had in the past began to form a network, and the analysis of problems became more layered.

The teachers at WOLF-LAB also provide good service. The biggest advantage of full-time teachers is the stable response, and they can follow up on problems continuously. During the preparation period, I am not afraid of encountering difficult problems, but I am afraid that no one will look at or point out the key points. The teachers are very patient, and sometimes they will help me analyze a long configuration and phenomenon that I send. What is even more remarkable is that the teachers will not get tired of me asking the same questions repeatedly.

The CCIE Lab experimental environment is one of the most satisfying parts of this preparation. There are many racks, and the reservation and use experience are smooth, the environment is fast, and there are few interruptions in the practice process due to resources or stability. More importantly, the rack restoration is high, and many details are consistent with the exam environment. For the CCIE exam, the familiarity with the environment will directly affect the performance. By training repeatedly in a high-reduction environment in daily life, one can focus on fault handling during the exam, rather than being disrupted by the interface, device response, or process.

The biggest improvement I made during the preparation was shifting from "project-based problem-solving" to "exam-based precise output," which is what Teacher Yang often talks about as utilitarian preparation. In projects, one can adjust while doing, but in exams, there must be a very clear sequence, verification, and rollback awareness. The advice given by the WOLF-LAB teachers is: form a checklist for each set of experiments, and do not rely solely on intuition. So I wrote down the key verification points of each module, submitted a report after practicing a set, and then checked the configuration. At first, I thought it was麻烦, but later I found out that this is the key to stable passing.

Whether it is scheduling the exam or pre-exam anxiety, Teacher Yang gave me the most reasonable advice, allowing me to take some detours. After passing the exam, my highest evaluation of this learning experience is: it completed the puzzle between my project engineer and CCIE. What WOLF-LAB gave me was not just a simple preparation material, but a professional, responsible, practical, and exam-oriented training system. It is very worthwhile for network engineers who already have project experience and want to further break through.
